Pitch Night 21 was a special edition. Because of the corona virus, our original Pitch Night was cancelled. The Student Hotel asked us to think of an online edition, and so we did! Within two weeks we organized a special online edition.

Normally we look at three criteria for new ideas: (1) is it awesome? (2) what is the link with Rotterdam? (3) can you realize it with €1.000?

Because of the corona virus and its impact on our society, we added a fourth one: (4) does it respond to the corona crisis?

We received many cool ideas and picked four of them to pitch on 23 April, live from The Student Hotel Rotterdam. Spectators could follow the event safely at home, online. Over 100 people checked in, most of them via Zoom, and discussed about the ideas. A lot of new connections and tips were the result.

Since it was a special edition, we wanted to fund every idea. So we spread the €1.000 among the ideas, based on the number of votes they got from the trustees.
